Boy Scout Troop 3, which meets at Trinity Episcopal Church of Ambler, recently cleaned up the Route 309 South off-ramp at Butler Pike — generating 25 bags of trash. The group adopted this ramp and holds several cleanups each year. The commitment parallels Scouting’s service to the community and Leave No Trace principles. During the pandemic, it has been more difficult to get the troop together for service and outings, but it has managed to experience several recent camping and backpacking adventures. The troop alternates its meetings between virtual and in person, around the campfire. Boy Scout Troop 3 serves boys in Ambler and surrounding communities.
